Scope

What the price covers

  • 01

    Space against a named sailing

The confirmation carries the vessel, the voyage number and the cutoff. When a sailing blanks you hear it from us, with the next two options already attached.

  • 02

    Origin handling

Collection, export clearance, verified gross mass and terminal receipt, arranged by the people who quoted the lane.

  • 03

    Weekly consolidations

Under 15 cubic metres is usually cheaper consolidated than it is as a part-filled 20ft. We will tell you which way round your load falls.

  • 04

    Free time watched from discharge

Demurrage and detention start on a date. You get that date when the box lands, not the invoice a fortnight later.

02

How it runs

Three stages, one team

01

Book the sailing

Rate, vessel and cutoff confirmed in writing, with origin charges, freight and destination charges on one page.

02

Move and clear

Gate in, load, departure, every port call and berthing. Our brokers file the entry while the container is still on the water.

03

Deliver and close

Haulage booked to your window, proof of delivery sent, and every document filed against the container number.

The part most quotes leave out

Transit times are the published port to port figures. They are not a delivery date, and we quote the door date separately so you can hold your customer to one number.

03

To quote it

Four things in the email

Send these and the number comes back. Send fewer and you get a range.

  1. 01

Origin and destination, door or port
  2. 02

Commodity, and the HS code if you have one
  3. 03

Packing list with dimensions and gross weight
  4. 04

Incoterm and the date the cargo is ready
