TRACK ASHIPMENT
A booking reference, a container number or a house bill opens the whole timeline. No account, no call.
Container numbers are four letters and seven digits. Spaces are fine.
Every event, with the time the carrier reported it
Ocean and air report different things, so the timeline shows what the mode actually produces rather than forcing both into one set of steps.
- Space confirmed against a named vessel and voyage.
- The container is inside the terminal, before the cutoff.
- Lifted onto the vessel.
- The vessel has sailed.
- Discharged and reloaded at an intermediate port.
- Alongside at the destination port.
- Off the vessel and on the terminal. Free time starts here.
- Customs has released the consignment.
- On a truck, inside the booked window.
- Signed for, with the proof attached.
- Space confirmed against a flight number and date.
- The cargo is at the airline terminal.
- Security screening passed.
- On the aircraft and away.
- Moved between flights at a hub.
- Landed and off the aircraft.
- Customs has released the consignment.
- On a truck, inside the booked window.
- Signed for, with the proof attached.
Each event carries the source and the time it was reported. Where a carrier has not given an estimated arrival, the field is empty. We would rather show nothing than a guess.
When something goes wrong you get a sentence, not a code
Four things account for most of it. Each one shows what happened and what we are doing, and you get the call the day we hear.
Customs hold
The entry has been stopped for a document, a valuation query or a physical examination.
We answer the query and book the examination. You get the reason and the likely release date the same day.
Rolled sailing
The carrier has taken your container off the vessel it was booked on, usually because the ship is full.
We take the next confirmed sailing and send you both dates together, so you can tell your customer before they ask.
Missed connection
The consignment did not make its transfer at a hub, on a transhipment lane or a two-leg flight.
We rebook the onward leg and confirm the new arrival. On air this is often the same day.
Damaged seal
The bolt seal on the container does not match the number on the bill, or it has been cut.
Nothing is opened without you. We photograph it, notify the carrier and open the claim before the box is unpacked.
The page your customer opens
Every shipment has a read-only link. It is the page your buyer sees, so it carries your name and none of your numbers.
No login
A link in an email. Your customer opens it on a phone and reads a status in plain language.
Your pricing stays yours
Rates, margin and internal notes are not on the shared view. Status, estimated arrival and the delivery window are.
It stops the phone calls
The reason importers give us for sending it is that their own customers stop ringing them every Monday.
